A Novel Way To Present The Coronavirus To Children

Children readingReading – An Important Past-Time

When I was a child, I used to love reading. Unfortunately, nowadays, I can’t bring myself to read more than one page of anything that isn’t a teaching related language book. I generally fall asleep after whilst reading the first page. Most probably, because I can’t focus after a long day. Despite this, I think reading is a wonderful past-time. It promotes language, improves vocabulary and develops imagination. Reading is definitely a skill that that should be instilled in children from a young age.

Do you read to your children, family members’ children, or friends’ children?

I know times are very strange at the moment and if you are a parent struggling to juggle work, kids and housework or if you are a carer, parent, friend or relative and looking for educational ideas to keep little ones entertained, why not read to them? (If you don’t already, of course!)

Personalised eBook for Younger Children

Personalised eBook CoronaVirusGiftsOnline4U is currently producing a series of educational, personalised eBooks for children to keep them busy. The bonus is that they are absolutely FREE! All you have to do is add your child’s name to the story, download it on a smartphone, tablet, PC or laptop and read it to them – simple.

The first story in the series is called: ‘Why can’t I go to school?’ and explains why children have to stay at home during the period of the Coronavirus and how they can ‘hide’ from the virus by washing their hands etc.

This free, personalised eBook for children is a novel way (excuse the pun!) to highlight the seriousness of the situation, in an accessible way for little ones. Not only is it educational, it’s fun and personalised too. Seeing as it’s free, why not download it or share it with your friends who have kids to help them understand how they can stay safe in the times of COVID-19? The book is aimed at children between the age of 3 and 6, but GiftsOnline4U is planning on launching a new personalised eBook each week over the lockdown period. Get children reading (and keep them occupied for a few minutes!)

I think GiftsOnline4U should produce a personalised eBook in French, German or Spanish too. So that we can share these eBooks with children who are learning languages in school to keep them in the swing of language learning whilst they are on lockdown. Who agrees?
