Sabina is such a lovely and effective teacher! Besides being incredibly organised, reliable and accommodating in arranging lessons as well as providing or creating countless learning material, her lessons have always been structured and tailored to my needs either through identifying weaknesses or asking me if there’s something I’d like to work on for the next lesson, making each lesson highly productive and rigorous, but also incredibly fun. I hadn’t been that confident in German when starting at school due to the fast pace, but Sabina has since strengthened my fluency – especially in speaking – to help me achieve a 9 at GCSE, and has continued this same approach so that I went into the A-Level exam with the same confidence, and I now feel my German is at a comfortable place for when university will start, which definitely wouldn’t be the case without her help. I equally can’t emphasise her friendliness enough, which played an important role in letting me be unafraid to ask questions or speak up about anything in lessons. Sabina definitely lives up to the name of the ideal teacher, and I can’t recommend her enough!!

Sabina has provided the most amazing teaching for our daughter for both her GCSE and A Level German. For GCSEs the teaching was across all the language elements, whilst the A level support focussed on speaking and essay writing in support of our daughter’s traditional classroom education. The one-to-one support Sabina provided always focused on getting the best from each session. The work between sessions was tailored to suit the learning needs, and goals and expectations were always clear. Feedback given was informative, clear, and concise with areas of improvement always highlighted. The successes our daughter was able to achieve is testament to Sabina’s skill and passion as an educator. Any concerns we as parents had about on-line learning were quickly dispelled by the results we saw from the very first session. All sessions started and concluded on time, were conducted with utmost professionalism and the planning of sessions and administration of payment was flawless. The legacy of the work our daughter has done with Sabina is longer lasting than just achieving grades. The time they spent together has developed a desire to achieve in our daughter. The engaging teaching she received has kindled a deeper interest in the language and the country such that she has joined the German society now she is at University (despite not studying German) and is organising a summer holiday in Germany next year.

Sabina teaches really well. She challenges and pushes me out of my comfort zone, and has helped me be on track for above my target grade (at German A-Level). She adapts the lesson to focus on my weaknesses and always asks me if I’m happy with what we’ve done/doing in each lesson, so it is never a waste of time. She even takes time outside of lessons to mark my work, and prepare tailored lesson materials. I would absolutely recommend Sabina as a language tutor!

Put simply, Sabina is an excellent German teacher. I had lessons with her for my GCSEs and I managed to score a 9 and when I made the decision to continue on with German in the sixth form for Pre-U, I decided to have weekly lessons with Sabina again, to ensure that I am able to attain the highest grade possible next year in my exams.

Sabina is always very accommodating and flexible in lesson timings as well as with taught-content. She always listens to what I feel needs work on and she also picks up on what she thinks will be best for me to focus on. I have done a mixture of listening, reading, writing, speaking and grammar throughout our lessons in order to maintain all aspects of the language at a high standard.

Sabina is always happy to help me with spontaneous questions and she always goes out of her way to help me, for example with my Pre U speaking project; she proof read it and then helped me to correct my own mistakes. I am always learning higher level language phrases and pieces of vocab with Sabina and this has really helped accelerate my German in the classroom. Currently we are preparing for my exam, through tailored exam style practice, it has only been a few lessons and I feel as though my fluency has improved drastically.

I absolutely love working with Sabina to help improve my confidence and grade for my German A level. As someone who started the course with a lot of anxiety around the content, Sabina has always been patient with me and is always flexible in changing things around if something isn’t working. In such a short space of time I’ve noticed such an improvement, and I’m amazed at how hard working she is with her well-planned lessons and extra resources she always has to hand to help me. My enjoyment for the subject has grown so much and I feel so much more prepared for my exams. I couldn’t recommend Sabina enough!
