My German Teaching Method For Local Students Who Want To Learn German
My German teaching method focuses on you (the student) and your needs. I have a lot of experience as a private German tutor and believe the following steps help my students to achieve the best results.
- Before the lesson and during the first lesson, we’ll establish what you feel are your ‘problem areas’ and your strengths
- We’ll spend about 20-30 minutes doing some varied base-setter activities on speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar to check your current level.
- I’ll suggest areas of improvement and we’ll begin working on those, combined with the issues you have highlighted.
- We can decide on the frequency of lessons, depending upon availability and affordability and I can give homework if required between the lessons. Completing a little bit of ‘German homework’ certainly accelerates progress, especially if you want to make a lot of progress quickly.
Every student has different needs, but one of the key factors for most German language learners is confidence. Building confidence is often really important. Knowing that you can speak, or that you can understand a language and feeling confident about it makes a huge difference at KS3, GCSE, A Level, as well as for adult learners. We work on that with plenty of fun, interactive and effective activities, which check, test and push you to feeling confident communicating in German.

Private German Gcse Tuition – Review One:
Recently, a student who sat his iGCSE in May told me that he had got a grade 9 (the highest grade you can get) in his GCSE German exam results. When I started working with him 6 months ago, he was working at a grade 6/7. I was so pleased for him, because he took on my advice and worked hard during the lessons and with the homework that I gave him. He has now come back for private tuition for German A Levels.
This is the review his mother left for me before he had even sat his exams!
