Le systรจme รฉducatif franรงais – Listening Lesson with Transcript and Activities

Le systรจme รฉducatif franรงais – Listening Lesson on ‘le systรจme scolaire franรงais’ Unless you pay extortionate prices for websites which offer audio files, or use websites which don’t always offer 100% relevant listening content, it’s difficult to find good quality audios for students to practise listening for GCSE French. For this reason, I am working on putting together a collection of audio files and lessons to fit the GCSE curriculum, which all French teachers can use and have access to. If you are interested in keeping up-to-date and knowing when I’ve added new content, don’t forget to sign up to my emails. Umweltschutz in Deutschland Listening Tasks and Transcript

A Lesson for German Learners on “die Umwelt” I’ve put together another listening activity for German students studying the topic of ‘die Umwelt’, or the environment, entitled: ‘Umweltschutz’. I feel that this listening based lesson is perfect for GCSE German learners, German A Level students, as well as CEF B1 or B2 learners. The environment listening lesson includes the following, which could take anywhere between 60 minutes and 120 minutes to complete, depending on which activities you choose to do: What is included in the “Umwelt” listening lesson? MP3 audio file read by a native male German speaker which lasts just over 2 minutes and 40 seconds If you do…

  • Meine Stadt und Ich – German Listening Activities and Transcript

If you are teaching students learning German the topic of ‘meine Stadt’, then try out this listening activity! Combining an MP3 audio file with a two-page word document with full transcript and seven activities, you can use it to fill a whole lesson and use as homework too! How will this listening activity help students learning German? The activities include: listening comprehension questions on the topic of ‘my town’, vocabulary development tasks, as well as spontaneous speaking and writing activities. Not only will these activities fully exploit the audio, they will aid students to improve their listening skills. As well as develop their vocabulary on the topic of ‘meine Stadt’.…

36 Ingredients for Speaking and Writing To Access Higher Grades GCSE German

Students often ask me, 'Miss, how can I get a higher grade in my GCSE German speaking and writing?' I tell them there are a number of factors to consider, but generally, I tend to guide them to the MFL Progress Ladder, which I wrote about last year. I suggest that in addition to answering the question (!) they should include as many elements as possible from Grade 1- all the way up to their target grade. I advise them to add 2-3 different examples of each element, as far as possible, in any and all of their GCSE German writing and speaking to have more chance of accessing the…

Das deutsche Schulsystem – Listening Activity

When I was at school I needed all the help I could get, to get my head around the German school system! Therefore, I’ve put together a resource, which could either be used as revision, or as an introduction into das deutsche Schulsystem. Why not use it in your German GCSE lessons with students taking either the Higher paper or the foundation paper when teaching the topic of ‘School’? You could also use it in your German lessons with private GCSE German students, which is what I did. What are the resources included for ‘das deutsche Schulsystem’? You will find an audio file (MP3) and a direct transcript (word document) that you can download…

Thought it would be a good time to share this:

A clip from an interview with actor Matt Damon at a teachers rally around 12yrs ago.

His mom (next to him) is a teacher.

He avidly supports us (and he properly shuts down the interviewer ๐Ÿ˜Ž).
