Revision Activities – Language Tip of The Week 10

    November 16, 2018

Revision Activities for the Language Classroom  Teaching Tip of The Week I know I promised that my language teaching tips of the week would be practical, low-prep teaching ideas that could be used in every language class. However, whilst this activity does fit that bill, it works best at the end of each topic to help students with revision, which I am sure is not too far away and still useful. This teaching activity is pretty much no-prep for the teacher, apart from getting a few resources together. Try it out! EDITION 10 – Teaching Tip Of The Week Revision Activities for the Language Classroom Title: Revision Activities for the Language…

    Revision Bingo for Language Lessons

    July 25, 2018

Revision – it’s part of the learning process. But, how can teachers make this, often mundane task, enjoyable for learners in the classroom? This particular post is about a brilliant revision activity that I read about recently (via @lessontoolbox): revision bingo. The game is excellent for so many reasons! zero preparation to set up (always a bonus!) it can be used in any language lesson which has had some previous input of the topic being revised, including ESOL, ESL and in KS3, KS4 and KS5 French, German, Spanish or other modern language classrooms use it to revise previously taught vocabulary, sentence structures, grammatical structures, tenses and so much more   How…

About

Je me présente!

Hi! I’m Sabina, an insanely passionate ESOL and MFL teacher with 10 years teaching experience in private, online, secondary and further education settings. At the moment, I am teaching English to adults in a college environment, as well as French and German at secondary level.

To no extent am I ‘The Ideal Teacher’ since I am definitely a ‘work in progress’, when it comes to teaching . However, I stand by the philosophy of teach・reflect・discuss・learn・create・repeat in order to strive towards becoming a better teacher.

This is a space to share my own French and German KS3, GCSE and A Level resources (including links to handouts, worksheets and PowerPoints), as well as my English language teaching resources.  I will also add reflections, events during the school/college day, things that make me smile and knowledge that I have acquired from others to help me meet my aim of becoming The Ideal Teacher…one day!

Have you joined my mailing list? If not, scroll down a little to enter your details to keep up-to-date with the latest content, ideas and resources. Make sure you are following me on my socials too, for more teacher things to make you smile.
